History of the company

In accordance with Order No. 95 of the Minister of Health of the BSSR dated 17 August 1964, a specialised wholesale and retail store No. 1 "Belmedtekhnika" was opened in Mogilev on 1 September 1964, operating on a self-financing basis and subordinate to the "Belglavmedtekhnika" department.

Following the liquidation of the main departments "Belglavmedtekhnika" and "Medkhozsnab" (Order of the Ministry of Health of the BSSR No. 145 dated 28.09.1988), the Mogilev specialised wholesale and retail store "Belmedtekhnika" was renamed the Mogilev specialised wholesale and retail store "Medtekhnika" No. 7 (Order of the Ministry of Health of the BSSR No. 145 dated 28.09.1988).

In accordance with Order No. 51 of the Belarusian republican production and trading association "Medtekhnika" dated 28.10.91, the Mogilev specialised wholesale and retail store "Medtekhnika" No. 7 was renamed the Mogilev specialised wholesale and retail trading enterprise.

Following the nationwide registration of business entities under Decree No. 208 of the President of the Republic of Belarus dated 24 May 1996, in accordance with Order No. 269 of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Belarus dated 09 December 1996 and Order No. 111 of the Belarusian republican specialised production and trading company "Belmedtekhnika" dated 11.12.1996, the Mogilev specialised wholesale and retail trading enterprise was renamed the Mogilev specialised wholesale and retail trading enterprise "Medtekhnika".

Following the adoption of the new Civil Code of the Republic of Belarus and in accordance with Decree No. 11 of the President of the Republic of Belarus dated 16 March 1999 "On streamlining the state registration and liquidation of business entities" and Order No. 105/6 dated 29.06.2000, the Mogilev specialised wholesale and retail trading enterprise "Medtekhnika" was renamed the Republican subsidiary trading unitary enterprise "Medtekhnika" (RUE "Medtekhnika").

The enterprise employs more than one hundred and thirty highly qualified specialists who supply the population and healthcare institutions of the city and the region with medical products and medical equipment, sell and repair eyewear. Specialists of the technical service department install medical equipment and apparatus and provide their further servicing, while the metrology laboratory verifies medical apparatus and issues conclusions on verified equipment.

The main thing in the work of any enterprise is, of course, people — and they work at RUE "Medtekhnika": highly educated and competent, diligent and responsible, conscientious about their work, valuing history and its glorious traditions.
